The port has modern facilities that allow it to operate with all types of traffic. It has more than 7,000 linear metres of quays, facilitating commercial, passenger and cruise operations. It is also connected by sea, land and air with the whole world, making it an important logistics hub.
Moving into the future
In 2024, the Port of Malaga experienced significant growth, reaching the best revenues in its history.
It moved 4.5 million tonnes, an increase of 76.4% over the previous year. Container traffic grew by 730.8%, exports by 30%, and imports of new vehicles by 31%, consolidating it as a reference hub. In solid and liquid bulk, clinker and olive oil stood out. The Malaga-Melilla route also grew, and cruise tourism remained firm.
